Congratulations to our National Champions!
The AIMAS team took first place in the BG US Challenge! AIMAS is proud to help sponsor and train the National Champions.
Training
The team captain discusses his training program in the Energetic Movement Arts (EMA): "Without a doubt, EMA is the best training program I have discovered for strength and endurance without negatively impacting the body.

- After hours of training in the EMA I feel more energized and full of life than when I started. I do not experience the fatigue and worn down feeling that I used to get after other methods of training.
- I realized that training in the EMA gave me the ability to run and bike with less effort than those around me.
- I did not incorporate endurance running into my training program. I have known how to run since I was a child. The EMA focus on development of whole body synergistic movement allowed me to perform the distance trail running with unfaltering steps.
- I noticed a distinct change in the ease with which I ascended the trails on my mountain bike. I know the EMA aided in my ability to be extremely steady while running, mountain biking, and paddling."
The Race
The 2008 BG US Challenge was one of the top inter-business competitions in the United States and included teams from around the country. Each participating team consisted of up to five individuals who performed physical tasks such as endurance mountain biking, running, and kayaking, while incorporating activities requiring mental agility, to complete the overall objectives set for them in each of the five stages of the event. The multi-day and night race was filled with intense physical and mental challenges.
Charity
A key element of the race is the money raised for charity. In addition to preparing for the mental and physical challenges, teams raise funds for the event’s official charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. St. Jude is the world’s premier pediatric cancer research center. St. Jude has treated children from all 50 United States and more than 70 countries. Since opening in 1962, its research findings have been freely shared with medical communities worldwide.
This focus on charity is one of the key reasons that AIMAS chooses to help sponsor the team for the race. Our mission at AIMAS is to improve ourselves and the world around us (and have a great time doing it). If you would like to assist the team by contributing to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, please contribute here.
